STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥Mississippi State鈥檚 College of Education is honoring faculty and staff with annual awards for their outstanding contributions that advance the mission, effectiveness and impact of the college.
鈥淚 am incredibly proud of this year鈥檚 award recipients and the meaningful difference they make every day through their teaching, research and service,鈥 said Teresa Jayroe, College of Education dean. 鈥淭heir dedication not only elevates the College of Education, but also creates lasting impact for our students, our communities and the future of education across our state.鈥
This year鈥檚 honorees include:
鈥擝eca Spencer, Cindy Rose Teaching Award. An assistant professor of practice in the Department of Counseling, Higher Education Leadership, Educational Psychology and Foundations, Spencer is praised for her profound impact on student achievement, dedication to curriculum innovation, extensive mentorship and exceptional service to both the university and community.
鈥擬ark Wildmon, Clyde Muse Service Award. An assistant professor in the Department of Counseling, Higher Education Leadership, Educational Psychology and Foundations, Wildmon is celebrated for his sustained, community-engaged service that has strengthened the college鈥檚 partnerships with rural public school systems, state organizations and underserved students across Mississippi.
鈥擲tephanie Lemley, Herb Handley Research Award. An associate professor in the Department of Teacher Education and Leadership, Lemley is recognized for her sustained research productivity, success in securing competitive external funding and ability to translate research into meaningful educational practice, as reflected in her agricultural literacy work.
鈥擪yle Baggerly, Betty Purvis Staff Award. A contract and grant specialist in the COE Dean鈥檚 Office, Baggerly is praised for his professionalism, expertise and unwavering commitment to supporting faculty success, which have become foundational to the growth of the college鈥檚 research infrastructure.
鈥擬ichelle Stubbs, Donnie Prisock Excellence in Access and Engagement Award. An assistant teaching professor in 黑料社-Meridian鈥檚 Division of Education, Stubbs is celebrated for leading transformational, systems-level initiatives that strengthen Mississippi鈥檚 teacher workforce while expanding access to high-quality preparation pathways for aspiring educators statewide.
