The ºÚÁÏÉç Legal Issues Conference will take place Dec. 3-5. Registration is open and conference links are located on this page. We will also host a NASPA Region III - Mississippi Drive-in Conference Dec. 3, noon-4:30 p.m. Details will be available soon.
Keynote speakers for the Legal Issues Conference will be , Professor of Law, Charles A. Dana Chair and Director, Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy, and ., Professor of Student Affairs in Higher Education, University College, Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
This year experts will discuss a variety of topics, including:
- Federal Legislative Updates and Executive Order Impacts on Higher Education
- Student Care & Concern/Mental Health
- Social Media – Best Practices for Communicating and Connecting with Today’s College Student
- Free Speech and Its Impact on the College Climate
- Disability Accommodations
- Title IX Updates and Future Landscape
- AI’s Impact on the Academic Environment

This conference will be valuable for all levels of university practitioners, from senior Student Affairs professionals to conduct officers and counselors, housing professionals, general counsel and academic administrators. The entire conference will be held in the ºÚÁÏÉç Colvard Student Union, wrapping up around lunchtime Dec. 5.
